Lapse in blogging

Okay, I have been informed that I am a slacker... and that I need to blog more. So, here is my lame attempt at a blog... the first in over a month, gosh, almost two months to be exact.

Well, tomorrow is THE big day. Demaris turns 10. She is officially in double-digits. Seems weird and exciting. Ken and I took her today to Caffé Mela (one of our favorite coffee hang out places) for coffee for us and an italian soda for her. We then took her to get her big present -- a new bike! She was SO surprised and didn't realize what we were doing. So, here we are looking at a line of bikes and she asks us what we are looking at. Ken gives her one of his funny looks and scans from one end to the other and says something like "I dunno, what you think?" She says bikes and then the light bulb comes on as she realizes THAT is her present from us. Priceless. Too bad I didn't have the camera.

Tomorrow we are having Tom and his family coming over to do more of the sprinkler install. We get to use the new BBQ (awesome deal at Sears!) and have fun with tubes and dirt.
